If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in Delta Airlines one year ago, you will have $49.00 today.
If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in AIG one year ago, you will have $33.00 today.
If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in Lehman Brothers one year ago, you will have $0.00 today.
But, if you had purchased $1,000 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the beer, then turned in the aluminum cans for recycling refund at $0.10 a piece, you will have received a $214.00.
Based on the above, the best current investment plan is to drink heavily & recycle. It is called the 401-Keg.
A recent study found that the average American walks about 900 miles a year. Another study found that Americans drink, on average, 22 gallons of alcohol a year. That means that, on average, Americans get about 41 miles to the gallon! Makes you proud to be an American!
It seems I have invested well.

"God, guns, and Guts built America, let's keep all three."
I went to the store with a guy at work and when we came back he had lost $500 in the market. Hahahaha sucker.

Re: It seems I have invested well.
Scott where do you find all this crazy shit? Based on your investment system Ive been making a killing on the market. And Wade what do you have stock in?
Re: It seems I have invested well.
Well today they dropped a little, also on this pop can thing one is really just getting money they have already spent. Yeah you buy the beer though you pay the deposit on top of that, so more or less you are just getting your deposit. I think the state of Iowa retains somewhere in the range of 20 million a year from that pop can deposit/refund. So your whole theory of buying beer is in someways flawed, because you are not really making money.

If you put $100 into deposits at the store you get $100 back if you return each container you paid a deposit on. If you invest $100 in an investment bank you might not get $100.
And beer.
Make sense?
