I'll see tomorrow or Thursday if my store wants to sponsor. I wonder how much it would cost...

If we end up doing this we should get the Trek Madone 5.9 and look really bad ass they are road mountain bikes and if we have hills. Carbon fiber frames, composit wheels oh and the same bike team discovery uses.

nothing at the moment, but it enables mass e-mail to only members of the ragbrai group or i could make ragbrai only content that you'd have to be logged in to view

I visited the bike store yesterday- many of the cycles were out of my price range. However, I told my boss about it and he said I could use his bike if I wanted to. Score. He may also sponsor but I have not yet built up the courage to ask for that.

I'm trying to do 50 miles a week this month so I have a little over 20 miles more to do this weekend and I plan to step up to 100 miles a week next month. I hope the wind is behind us on RAGBRAI because I was going right into it on my way back and could barely move. I finally made it to a gas station, bought a Vault, and it got me home. But, I think the wind usually blows easterly so we should be good.

Do you guys have a Cycling Club over at Iowa? Cause we have one over here, and if I join it I can get a made discount on buying a new bike...just a thought

Yes but I rarely buy bikes and the membership dues would offset any discount in my opinion, but I don't know how much they are.
RAGBRAI 2006
So are we actually gunna do this?!?!? I say we rock the RAGBRAI world....so we need people to talk and find a bus, then we can get down to business and figure out the application thing.
RAGBRAI 2006
I wanna ride the first day for sure. I wouldn't mind playing every night though except for the last couple since I will need to be in Indiana.
RAGBRAI 2006
Yes, I think we should actually do this. We need to go bus searching though if we are gonna do it, or figure out another means of transportation. And also decide if we are going to register or not.

How many people are going? 7?
RAGBRAI 2006
Doesnt look bad, we need to decide as a group if we should start bidding on buses though.

first we need to know how many people will chip in, and how much money everyone is willing to spend.
I will chip in, and I could go as high as $200 right now, I'd go more but I have no income until the summer.

That Haz-mat truck would be nice, and we could use that as our name, and our lighting for when we play....

I can spend somewhere in the $150-200 range on a bus. I think we could use a camper or tents instead though. I have a shitty (or rugged), crank-up, 8-person camper at my house I'm sure we could use. My brothers and I installed an air conditioner a few years back and took it camping. There is probably a lot of rat shit in there by now, but we could clean it up if anyone wants to try that.
