Ok, basically I need the go ahead from everyone to reserve the Jefferson Community Center for Dec. 26 ($50)....4 other bands have showed interest in doing a show with us on this date. Also, Dec.31 show at CCC, I have said yes to it, any objections?
So what's the verdict on this? We good to go? Are we doing anything else?

We need Kevins approval for his house, or if its disapproval then Ill call Jefferson. 5 bands have expressed interest in playing a show on the 26th if we set one up. Whats it gonna be Kevin?

How about this? We play the CCC show and then go to Kevins for New Years Party! Should I call Jefferson then about getting the community center?

Update: Other band Officially Terminated wants to have a show on the 23rd, so I was thinking Jefferson that day instead because rebels victorious has a show in Sioux Falls on the 26th I guess. Opinions please so I can set this show up ASAP.

The 23rd is good. So we won't be playing with RV on the 26th then? Or are we going to SF for that?

No show with RV it appears. Show on 23rd would possibly include Officially Terminated, Stasis, Diggler, Splenetic. Stasis said that date should work, Diggler said they want to do a show, Splenetic hasnt gotten back to me about the 23rd. Officially Terminated is pretty much a given, they also said they may be able to get us a show in Omaha or Lincoln, to which I said yes, I hope everyone else is ok with that. If not, tell me ASAP.

Hey bitches, go click the link I put in Small Talk. It's fuckin great. And Grant, I'm coming back on the 17th, when I do, we need to have some massive file transferring. I want to mess around with more tracks. I have edited Ballet 3 times so far (the first two renditions are up on eric.vinylband). There's not a ton of noticable changes, but I need to listen to the first version again and compare. I think #3 sounds good. I will post it later tonight after jazz band.

This shit is so much more fun than homework. I really hope I get in to Indiana to do this stuff for the rest of college.

OK I'm planning on driving back on the 16th so give me a call, we'll hang out some time, and provided you didn't edit any of the audio files I would just need the session file. I'm listening to your mixes right now, although by putting those online you have now blown the secrecy of our album!!!!!!!!!
Ya sure ya betcha.
Also I'm down with a show in Nebraska, South Dakota, Iowa, but North Dakota and/or Minnesota is out of the question!! screw those bitches!!!!!!!

I don't think I edited mp3s. Just did stuff in the session. List of things I did:

1. Muted one of David's tracks.

2. Added a small bit of chorus during the "chorus" parts.

3. Added the compander (compressor/expander) effect to Dan's solo. I'm also seeing if there are any cool phasing effects, but so far everything is too extreme. I was just hoping for some stereo flipping. I know it can be done manually, but really... maybe over break.

4. Upped a few volume levels and downed some others.

5. Panned the two rhythm guitar tracks so I'm in the left speaker and Dan is in the right.

6. Adjusted some EQs so some things stuck out at certain points.

I think that's about it. If you listen to #3 and the very first one (not #1 on there) I think there's a noticable difference during the choruses as far as depth of sound. The panning and chorus effect make stuff sound cooler in my opinion.

Did you mix that song by yourself Eric? It's a pretty god damn good job. The only thing I would change is if you have the drums all on seperate tracks, the bass drum needs alot more punch. It isn't even cutting through the mix when I turn the power amp bass all the way up and crank it through my headphones. This site has some good suggestions...
