Update on CD progress: I called Flood today at 7PM, almost forgot...Bob was there working on the CD...he said he should have it ready for shipping by the end of the week. We'll see.

I'd believe he was there.... but working........on us?



I'm going out of town this weekend but I'll try to start recording David next weekend.

But no, he did not say he sent it...he is going to send it once he finishes it...and thats not guaranteeing that it will be to our liking, its just supposed to be a preliminary mixing.

yeah so do you think you'll have a solo ready in a week? i have 4 tests this week so next weekend should be pretty calm, and i'd like to finish this thing, before bob and under budget.

What the sam hell happened on the "Pretty Kevin" mixing? Dan (or me, one of us) is INSANELY fucking loud on the distortion part. It hurts.

yeah i cranked those up for some reason, I must have been rocking out to it, but i can easily turn them down, we'll get together this weekend and try to fix some things.

I have some ideas for editing/rerecording some parts....my distortion sounds really weird when it is direct out instead of mic'ed for some reason. I think Im gonna redo all of my distorted parts.

Yeah, your speakers play a big role in your sound. I would reccomend using two mics, one right next to your guitar speaker and one out a little further in the room (as long as it's dampened decently unless you want extra reverb).

CD Update: No news on the "good" part of the CD, but we recorded vocals for two songs and are mixing them now. Vocals for the other tracks will come in the next couple weeks. Goal is to have our part of the CD done by Thanksgiving. The Flood part of it is up to Bob, who I will be calling again tomorrow.
